Mark your calendar to join us for the 20th Annual Verizon Wireless-SIDS Golf Invitational & Evening Reception to be held at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, MD on Monday, October 4th. Join over 260 golfers who will enjoy the lush green fairways of Turf Valley golf courses. Immediately following golf guests will meet in the Grand Ballroom for a chance to mingle with friends and business associates, enjoy music, fabulous food, awards and exciting live and silent auctions. Over the past 19 years, the annual Verizon Wireless-SIDS Golf Invitational has raised over $1.8 million for the Center for Infant & Child Loss. GEICO Evening Reception & Live/Silent Auctions

Joining us again this year are: Jonathan Melnick of Melnick Auctioneers for the live auction, Mindy Basara of WBAL-TV, Channel 11 as our Master of Ceremonies and photographer Gregory Carr of Candid Shots. Monies raised from the Verizon Wireless-SIDS Golf Invitational provide more than one third of the operating budget for the Center which provides grief counseling services, community education, training, outreach and research. Program & Memorial Book Information
This Program Booklet is an 8x10 glossy, black & white book that everyone attending receives. This booklet acknowledges all of our business and corporate sponsors through complementary ads that are based upon level of support. This booklet also serves as a memorial to infants and children who have died. Many parents, family members and friends place memorial ads in memory of their loved ones.

How It All Began:

The Annual Verizon Wireless-SIDS Golf Invitational was founded in 1991 by Chuck and Terre Dohrman in memory of their son Zachary Lutz Dohrman who died in 1991 of SIDS. With the help of many dedicated friends and family members the Dohrmans worked tirelessly to have a golf tournament that raised financial support for the Center and SIDS related research. Now in its 20th year, this event has raised over $1.8 million for the Center and is known as one of the best tournaments in the metropolitan area.

Through the efforts of other dedicated parents, volunteers and supporters this event continues to grow and be the essential element in the fund raising efforts here at the Center for Infant & Child Loss.
